Features of ARTFELT AFFAIR 2010 include:

* Visual Arts Exhibit AND Live Painting Performance by PAMELA MASIK *

Fresh off her feature showcase at Art Basel in Miami, renowned artist Pamela Masik will be showcasing her amazing paintings at ARTFELT AFFAIR this year, and what better place to experience Masik’s art than in its birthplace, MASIK STUDIOS!  Masik is well known for her unique live performances throughout the world, and we will be lucky enough to experience it this year OUR Benefit Party!

With international acclaim, guest appearances at several world conferences, a feature film documentary and two books about to be published, Masik is well on her way to become one of Canada’s greatest artistic treasures. Collected internationally,  her work can be found in corporate and private collections in the UK, Spain, Dubai, China, and throughout Canada and the USA.

* The Musical Stylings of DJ’s PAT LOK, LEANNE, BLONDTRON, and NED KELLY *

This year attendees will enjoy music from several of Vancouver’s most cutting-edge DJ’s, including:

PAT LOK; his remixing abilities have gotten critical acclaim, and he’s shared the decks with acts like Bloc Party, The Twelves, Junkie XL, Don Diablo, Alex Metric, Breakbot, GRUM and Steve Porter.

BLONDTRON;  she was dubbed ”The new and next Canadian” while featured on the cover of Peace Magazine with Just Blaze, and her catch me if you can attitude has kept her bouncing forward in a never fading effort to see what she can bring the world of music next.

NED KELLY; together with Blondtron they make up Star Xrossed Lovers, and his undeniable blends of mash-up, electronic and dance tunes will keep the dance floor packed and people smiling!

* Special Performance by AXE CAPOEIRA *

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, music, and dance.  It has gained in popularity in recent times, and because of it’s spectacular acrobatic nature, we are sure that the AXE Capoeira performance will prove to be a real treat for all in attendance.

Well-known as Canada’s first and foremost academy of Capoeira, the AXE Capoeira Group continues to rise as one of the world’s leading Capoeira organizations. Backed by worldwide releases of six albums, several VHS and DVD performance releases and the four Volume Instructional DVD compilation.

* Breakdance Exhibition by the N.O.N. CREW *

Through the years, N.O.N. has been relentlessly competing and winning prizes from numerous dance competitions across the globe. In addition to their competition experience, they have also performed in many local shows as well as large stage performances for TV productions and concerts.  Last year, they blew the roof off District 319 @ SPECTACTION, and this year we are looking forward to another stellar show!
